The long, often deserted white sandy beaches and secluded coves are the ne plus ultra. The sea is clean, clear and never colder than 25 degrees, the climate in winter is like in high summer.

Activities: Swimming in the deliciously warm clear ocean, fishing, hiking, cycling, Island tours, sailing tours.

There are scheduled flights via Lisbon or charter flights via Sal to the main island of Santiago. From there, flying six times per week, an inland plane goes to Maio (flying time 10 minutes). Ferries also run between the islands.
